Elmo Lighting_ opening May 26

The project originated from an initiative by ElmoLeather to creatively reimagine leather offcuts,ensuring that the value of the material extends beyond its original purpose.

The process began with acurated selection of leather

remnants from Elmo Leather’s material archive. Textures, colours, and finishes were made available to TetuánCrea designers Estrella Poza Ruiz and Ilaria Franceschini, who began an exploration focused on the expressive potential of the material.

Elmo Leather’s extensive colour archive became a

key creative tool throughout the process, enabling

the development of visual combinations thathighlighted the depth and richness of the leather.

The collection evolved through composition studies, mock-ups, and prototypes, with the aim of understanding how leathercould acquire new qualities when interacting with light.
